The Mazak HCN-6800 is a high-performance horizontal machining center engineered for the heavy-duty machining of medium to large parts with exceptional speed, rigidity, and accuracy. As part of the Horizontal Center Nexus (HCN) series, this model is optimized for high-volume production environments and excels in demanding applications across industries such as aerospace, automotive, defense, energy, and heavy equipment manufacturing.
The HCN-6800 offers a large pallet size of 630 mm × 630 mm, long axis travels, and a high-torque spindle, making it suitable for machining hard metals and large workpieces. It comes equipped with twin pallets for increased productivity, and a B-axis indexing table for 4-axis machining operations. The machine is built on a rigid box-type cast structure to minimize vibration and ensure accuracy over long machining cycles.
Equipped with Mazatrol SmoothG or SmoothX control (depending on build year), the HCN-6800 supports conversational programming as well as EIA/ISO G-code, making it operator-friendly for both production and custom part runs. It is also compatible with Mazak’s PALLETECH automation system, offering scalable lights-out production capabilities.
